Festivals in the Kingdom of Bhutan are unique,rich,colorful and happy expressions of its ancient Buddhist culture.Bhutan predominantly has many temples and monasteries hence there are many religious and popular Bhutan festivals which have become an important tourist attraction. Festivals (esp. Tshechu) are central to the life of Bhutan which is considered very auspicious festival which everybody attends and watch mask dances.
Besides Tshechu other popular festivals are Black Necked Crane festival which is celebrated in the most beautiful valley called Phobjikha, it is an event to mark the coming of a giant majestic endangered bird that migrates from Tibet during winters. Another interesting festival in Bhutan is Royal Laya Highland festival which is an event to showcase the beauty and wonders of the life of the highlanders in Bhutan.
